With very heavy hearts, the Board of Directors regret to inform that one of our board members, Michele Roman (Gene's sister), has passed away. Michele has been a foundation volunteer since our inception and has donated countless hours to support our mission of helping cancer patients. Michele was born on March 13, 1946 and went to live with Jesus on February 16, 2026. Michele was the loving mother of Jimmy (Sandy) Wolframski and Angela (Mike) Isbell and the beloved grandmother of Samantha and Amanda Isbell, as well as dear friend and family of many.  We will definitely miss her, but take comfort in knowing that she is now wrapped in God's loving arms. Rest in peace, Michele. We love you.

Even though we are not holding a gala event this year, the desperate need of cancer patients continues.  For this reason, we are appealing to our loyal supporters for help.

 Not holding a gala event does NOT mean that we are closing the Foundation.  We will continue to help cancer patients as long as we have funding.  This is where we need your help.  When you are reviewing your charitable giving, would you please consider donating to The Gene Roman Family Foundation?  We are incredibly grateful to the people who have already sent checks to us so that we can continue to help cancer patients.

Last year was a record-breaking year for us — we helped 230 cancer patients!! Since our inception, we have helped over twelve hundred patients and distributed over $500,000.

Some of the people we have helped are listed on page two of this newsletter.  We don’t have room to list everyone but this list will give you an idea of who we help and what kinds of things they need.
